SPECIALIST / EXEMPTION PATH
The checker reads your verdict. The Kit gets you through the exam: documentation packets for your condition, the two 45-day form clocks run as a calendar, the official medication form packet, waiting-period calendars, failure recovery, and the examiner phone script.

Advisory criteria (Appendix A, §H): a driver with epilepsy may be qualified only after being seizure-free and off anti-seizure medication for 10 years. Short of that, the live federal door is the FMCSA seizure exemption (decision within 180 days; no fee in 49 CFR 381.310) — exemption holders are certified with specialist follow-up. Drivers who reach the 10-year mark are typically certified at 1-year intervals with neurology documentation.
Three zones: inside 10 years with no exemption — not qualified; with a granted exemption — driving on its conditions; past 10 years seizure-free and off medication — certifiable, usually annually.
Your neurologist's records are the whole case: seizure history dates, medication history and stop dates, and a current evaluation. For the exemption, the kit lays out the application package.
This question is decided by the federal text together with its published advisory criteria — clocks, thresholds, and specialist files. The verdict above follows the cited criteria; your documentation is what proves you meet them.
Only a certified medical examiner on the National Registry can certify you. FreightVerdict reads the published federal standards — it does not certify, diagnose, or treat, and nothing here is medical advice.
